If you know anything about me, you will know that I absolutely hate to waste anything, especially if another use can be found for it.
One thing I always have a lot of “left overs” is with fondant. What better use is there for left over fondant than to make some fun confetti to add colour and fun to any cupcake?
It is also very simple to make – in fact, as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Roll out the fondant until it is very thin.
2. Use a shape cutter of your choice and press into the fondant. If you want circle-shaped confetti, you can use an icing nozzle that has the circle shaped tip and use that to make the confetti. I chose hearts but have also made stars.
3. Remove the excess fondant.
You now have confetti than can be stored in an airtight container ready for use when you need it.
